Shawn Seifert

Award-Winning Director of Photography
ICG 669 Member & CSC Associate Member

Shawn Seifert is an award-winning Director of Photography whose work has screened at film festivals around the globe. His latest feature, Bau: Artist at War, won Best Cinematography, Best Film, and Best Director at the Sunscreen Film Festival, as well as Best Feature Film at both the Tarzana and Burbank International Film Festivals. Shawn’s other credits include the Paramount+ original Buddy Games: Spring Awakening, Jason William Lee’s indie feature Fun House, and Lifetime’s The Bad Seed Returns – which earned him a nomination for a Leo award for Best Cinematography.


A proud member of ICG 669 and a CSC Associate Member, Shawn has extensive experience on over 50 different film sets, maintaining a sense of adventure and creative risk-taking across them all. The Vancouver native began his career with Crosby Marine Film Services, assisting in productions shot in, on, or around bodies of water. Shawn therefore worked on such acclaimed films as The Revenant, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Power Rangers, as well as all three films in the modern Planet of the Apes trilogy. He shot his first feature FSM in 2014, and from there has had the privilege of working with such talented individuals as Josh Duhamel, Emile Hirsch, Inbar Levi, Kevin Dillion, McKenna Grace and director Sean McNamara.
